Dear Constituent,
There are a number of items coming up in City Council next week which have me gravely concerned:
RE: Nanjing Massacre Commemorative Day Event
Dear Community Leader:
I am writing to formally invite you to a very significant event for the Chinese community in the Greater Toronto Area in commemorating the Nanjing Massacre.
Dear Constituent:
I hope this message finds you and your family well.
This has been a busy month in Scarborough-Agincourt, and at City Hall, for a number of issues that directly affect our community. One issue is that of short-term “home-sharing” rentals like those offered by Airbnb and other similar companies.
Dear Constituent:
I hope this message finds you and your family well.
Last Thursday, I hosted a Town Hall Meeting for the new SmartTrack – GO Transit station planned for Finch – Kennedy (which is proposed with no parking lot). City of Toronto and Metrolinx staff attended, listened and answered questions from residents on this station.
City Planning is NOT supportive of a Pick-Up and Drop-Off centre at the station or a Commuter Parking Lot. This is a mistake. My position on a Commuter Parking Lot is clear: Suburban residents north of the 401 must have the ability to drive to the station to take transit downtown. Without a parking lot, commuters will pass on taking transit and this will increase gridlock.
I want to take this opportunity to share information on news and events happening in Scarborough-Agincourt and across the city. Particularly:
If you would like your community event to be included in our next e-newsletter please contact my office. For any questions, I can be reached by phone at 416-392-1374 or by e-mail at jim@karygiannis.net.
Please take a minute and pass this email to your neighbors, family and friends. Read More… October 26 2017 E-Newsletter

I invite you and your neighbours to this public meeting to learn more about the new station and to get your feedback. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Dear Constituent:
I hope this message finds you and your family well and that you are enjoying these last warm days of summer.
Especially at this time of year, it is important to remind ourselves to stay safe while driving our children to school. You may have noticed “Slow Down Signs” on the lawns near schools. These serve to remind passing motorists that they are in a school zone and must slow down. If you would like a “Slow Down Sign” delivered to your home for use on your lawn, please click here.
Dear Constituent:
I hope this message finds you and your family well. I extend my best wishes to our children starting this new school year in our local schools.

Dear Constituent:
I hope this message finds you and your family well and that you are enjoying the beautiful last days of summer in Toronto.
Next week marks the beginning of the school year for our children. I wish all new and returning students in our local schools good luck in starting this new chapter in their education.

You may have noticed my team members at your door in recent weeks. We are knocking on doors in the ward to say hello and to pass on a message to complete our Ward 39 Rooming House Survey. As you know, the City is pushing through a pilot project that would allow Rooming Houses in our community as a “temporary study.” My position is clear: I am against Rooming Houses. If you have not completed the survey, please access it through my website at the following link and I appreciate your feedback: http://karygiannis.net/wp/local-engagement-3
Dear Constituents:
I hope this message finds you and your family well. It was a pleasure to see so many residents at Canada 150 celebrations across our community on Canada Day weekend. I hope you had an excellent time celebrating our country’s birthday and that you continue to safely enjoy summer.
