Please Slow Down – Help Make Our Roads Safe
PLEASE SLOW DOWN –
HELP MAKE OUR ROADS SAFE
Whether you are a pedestrian, cyclist or motorist it is important to make sure our roadways are always safe.
In school zones, driving carefully helps ensure that students are safe as they arrive and leave school grounds – making three point turns; parking or stopping in “No Parking” or “No Stopping” zones; double parking; making ‘U’ turns; blocking driveways; and, parking in a school bus loading zone creates a very unsafe situation for students and others.
Currently, all school areas are undergoing City traffic studies in order to make sure our school communities are safer.
This year, the City’s Fall Safety Awareness Campaign features “Please Slow Down” lawn signs that are available to you, free of charge. Please contact my office at 416-392-1374 to get a sign and help create safety awareness in Ward 39.
