L’Amoreaux Tennis Bubble Re-Opening

 

The L’Amoreaux Tennis Bubble is open for use once again! Hosted by the Scarborough Winter Tennis Club, the Tennis Bubble Grand Opening will be held on Saturday, February 2nd from 9:00am to 12:00pm at L’Amoreaux Tennis Centre, 300 Silver Springs Blvd, Scarborough, ON M1V 1S4. Members of the community are welcome to take part in the event, which will feature a free round-robin and refreshments.

THE LOCAL PROJECT

A multi-year construction program to expand and improve a 17-kilometre segment of GO Transit’s Stouffville line in Scarborough and Markham is well underway. Expanding GO service in both directions means upgrading the existing rail corridor by: electrifying the corridor, adding a second track and related signals, and making improvements to stations and railway crossings.

As a part of our improvement to railway crossings, Metrolinx is undertaking road crossing track panel construction

February 15, 2018, marks the 53rd anniversary of National Flag Day in Canada when we celebrate this enduring emblem of what it means to be a proud Canadian.  On February 15, 1965, Canada’s red and white maple leaf flag flew for the very first time.
