The TTC is proposing to build a transit garage to maintain over 200 buses at the northeast corner of Kennedy Road and McNicoll Avenue, adjacent to Mon Sheong Seniors Home.
This will introduce hundreds of buses on our streets and add more unwanted pollution in our area.

For Scarborough’s city councillors, 2015 looks like a year to keep doing stuff they did before and, just maybe, something they only dreamed of doing.
Not so for Jim Karygiannis, the only new city councillor for the area. Topping his to-do list are two things his constituents may want, but which his most of his colleagues would say are impossible.
Job One: Stop and then move the proposed McNicoll Avenue bus garage, which Toronto’s transit commission says is desperately needed, not to mention a done deal.

What do you hope to achieve this term?
“I’m coming into council with an open mind. The dysfunctionality that was there before, I’d like for us to turn the page and make sure that we work together as a council. I’ve noticed some of my colleagues are still in that mindset and that has me very much troubled.
