Move to reopen LRT debate rejected

TORONTO –A sandwich was the only “subway” that got delivered at City Hall Wednesday.
Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti presented Mayor John Tory with a Subway sandwich with “extra cheese for the Big Cheese” just before the executive committee meeting went to lunch.
On Saturday, March 28, 2015, why not join thousands of Canadians and millions of people around the world in the Earth Hour movement and ‘turn off your lights’.

At the February 12, 2015, meeting of Toronto City Council, I put forward Motion MM3.2 recommending that –
“…City Council reconfirm its decision to support building the Scarborough Subway on Sheppard Avenue.”
City Council referred Motion MM3.2 to the Executive Committee.
TORONTO – Jim Karygiannis, Councillor for Ward 39 Scarborough-Agincourt, is pleased that the issue of the extension of the Sheppard Subway line will soon be debated by the City’s Executive Committee.
During the municipal election, one of the issues which was relevant to everyone was traffic gridlock.
During the campaign, an overwhelming majority requested that the City build the Sheppard Subway line.
