SCARBOROUGH–MARKHAM RAILWAY EXPANSION
GO TRANSIT STOUFFVILLE LINE
We would like to thank everyone who attended our last informal information session. Your feedback and comments have been gathered, and we would like to invite you to another Community Meeting to discuss work to improve the Stouffville GO rail corridor between Kennedy Road in Markham and Marilyn Avenue in Scarborough.
At our last meeting you raised a number of questions, and we would like to address these questions at our next meeting.
Some of the questions were:
- What will the noise walls look like, when will they be installed and why can’t they go in before construction begins?
- How will this project affect my property?
- How will my property be safeguarded against damages?
- When will construction begin at the Agincourt Station and what will be done there?
- When will the grade separations begin and where? How will this impact the community?
- How will Smart Track be integrated?
Your comments and our responses are posted on our website, metrolinx.com/RERscarboroughmarkham.
We will be holding another community meeting on Tuesday, December 8. Please join us to learn more about construction on this segment of the railway corridor. We will share plans about work near your home, including the recommended designs for noise walls, and we welcome the opportunity to address any further questions you may have.
