TORONTO – Jim Karygiannis, Councillor for Ward 39, will move a Motion directing the City Manager to report to the September 30 – October 1, 2015 City Council meeting on the issues raised by Local 416 EMS Unit in its April 2015 report “Toronto Paramedic Services Crisis in the Workplace – Identifying the Issues and Resolutions of Poor Morale”.

TORONTO – Mayor John Tory says the Toronto taxi industry is in the “12th century” while Uber transportation services reflects the realities of the “21st century.”

In fact the mayor made the “12 century” comment on the Moore in Morning radio program on Newstalk 1010 in which he pinch hit Monday for popular host John Moore.

May 29, 2015 – Councillor Karygiannis welcomes Scarborough residents to the City of Toronto’s first Newcomer Day

TORONTO – Jim Karygiannis, Councillor for Ward 39, Scarborough-Agincourt, welcomed a group of seniors from Scarborough to the City of Toronto’s inaugural Newcomer Day.

“Today was an exciting day at Toronto City Hall, as participants in the Senior Settlement program at the Centre for Immigrant and Community Services, joined hundreds of immigrants to learn how their local government works.” said Mr. Karygiannis.  “It was also a time to celebrate the rich diversity of our community.”
