Today, we celebrate Canada Day – Canada’s 148th Birthday. Canadians, across the land and overseas, will join together in July 1st festivities.
Whether they gather on Signal Hill, overlooking St. John’s harbour, for the pre-dawn flag raising ceremony; witness the noontime 21 gun salute and fly past on Parliament Hill; march in parades; attend concerts and BBQs; watch fireworks; are sworn in as Canadian citizens at special sessions of Citizenship Court; or, celebrate Canada Day abroad – July 1st is an important day for all Canadians.
