Road Closures at Finch Avenue and McNicoll Avenue

My office has been informed of upcoming road closures this weekend at Finch Avenue and McNicoll Avenue, starting at 9:00pm on November 30th and ending 5:00am December 3rd, 2018. These road closures are part of the City of Toronto and Metrolinx’s multi-year construction program to expand and improve the GO Transit’s Stouffville line in Scarborough and Markham.

During this time, motorists are advised to find alternative routes ahead of time to avoid U-Turning and congestion issues.

Tree Lighting Ceremony at Scarborough Civic Centre

 

Kick off the holiday season with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Scarborough Civic Centre! Gather your family and friends and enjoy a variety of fun activities, including free ice skating and face painting and a photo opportunity with Santa (bring a camera if you wish to do so).

You can also show your holiday spirit by donating an unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item. Donations will be accepted for the Mayor’s Toy Drive and Daily Bread Food Bank.

At the Chinese Cultural Centre at 5183 Sheppard Ave East

There will be free coffee and refreshment This is a great opportunity to learn how to protect yourself against crime.
