May 1, 2018 – Karygiannis to run in new Ward 43
TORONTO – Jim Karygiannis, City Councillor for Ward 39, today, filed the nomination papers with the City Clerk and announced that he would run in the new Ward 43 in the October 22, 2018 Municipal Election.
“I am looking forward to continue to work for the people of Scarborough-Agincourt.” said Mr. Karygiannis. “I will continue to work to bring the Sheppard Subway to Scarborough-Agincourt; to ensure that our hospital continues to be able to provide good quality care to our citizens; and, to make certain that our community remains a safe place to raise our families.”
Mr. Karygiannis has represented the constituents of Ward 39 since the October 27, 2014 Municipal Election. Redistribution has changed the boundaries of Ward 39 and, due to the addition of three new City Councillors, the Ward number has been changed to 43.
“I look forward to continuing to represent the constituents of the old Ward 39 and to representing the new constituents of Ward 43, many of whom, I represented when I was a Member of Parliament.” Mr. Karygiannis stated. “As always, making sure that my constituents have access to the services they require, will be my primary concern.”
